Selected by Caroline Hirons for her Fresh Face Kit, Power E is a recent addition to Dr. Marko Lens’ cult ‘vitamin alphabet’ known as The Powers. It is a must-have for dehydrated and dry skins, and a favourite of makeup artists and customers alike thanks to its light yet powerful formula. It also helps provides antioxidant protection against free radicals.
The benefits: What does it do?
Power E is a moisturising and protecting treatment. It nourishes the skin by replacing lost moisture and provides antioxidant protection against free radicals, while helping to reduce visible signs of premature ageing cause by oxidative damage.
Multiple forms of vitamin E
This high-potency concentrate is formulated with a unique mixture of vitamin E (tocopherol), four types of tocopherol esters, and tocotrienols.
Vitamin E (Tocopherol) is a naturally derived vitamin with powerful antioxidant and photoprotective properties. Tocopherol is an excellent moisturiser that helps to reduce water loss and strengthen the skin’s natural barrier.
The Vitamin E Ester Blend: This is a mixture of 3 different esters of Vitamin E: Tocopheryl acetate (an acetic acid ester), Tocopheryl linoleate (the linoleic acid ester), and Tocopheryl succinate (the succinic acid ester). It shows excellent antioxidant properties, improves skin moisture, and strengthens the skin barrier.
Tocotrienols: A mixture of alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocotrienols, molecules from thew vitamin E family. They show excellent moisturising and skin-conditioning properties and act as strong antioxidants.
Enhanced with botanicals
In his unique way of enriching higher-tech ingredients with botanicals, Dr. Marko Lens has infused the formula with a proprietary complex of botanicals. This is a unique botanical blend containing two fermented plant extracts rich in Vitamin E, sunflower seed and avocado fruit, which shows moisturising and protecting properties.
Power E also contains raspberry seed oil, which shows emollient, regenerative, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties; as well as sunflower seed oil, which has excellent moisturising, nourishing, protective and soothing properties, being rich in linoleic acid (omega-6). It also contains olive oil, which is rich in omega-9 (oleic acid) and shows moisturising, nourishing, softening and healing properties – and acts as a good antioxidant thanks to a high amount of natural phenols.
“Power E is like a drop of comfort for your skin – it moisturises and nourishes while protecting skin from free radicals.” – Dr. Marko Lens
